Chisato Minamimura
Chisato Minamimura is a Deaf performance artist, choreographer and art guide born in Japan, now based in London. She approaches choreography from her unique perspective as a Deaf artist, creating what she calls ‘visual sound/music’, with her practice meshing Sign Mime, BSL art guide approaches, Visual Vernacular and digital elements to explore sensory and human experiences. Chisato is currently a Work Place Artist. Work Place is The Place’s unique 5-year associate artist programme of tailored support for professional choreographers.
